I’ve always  had a keen interest in exercise, since I was a teenager.  Always wanting to be strong and fit rather than skinny and have never been shy of lifting weights. 

I worked 9 years in corporate marketing and by age 29, decided to follow my passion of health and fitness full time.  To me, nothing is more important than your health – feeling energized, moving well and being the best version of yourself.

In my forties I noticed more injuries would happen and these would take longer to recover.  Random aches and pains would happen, sleep was hit and miss, energy levels low and generally feeling rubbish.

When I couldn’t even bend over to put trainers on I decided enough was enough!  Why was I feeling like a 90 year old in my forties?  This is still young and having been fit all my life, was not something I was just going to live with.  Neither should any woman.

This kick started research and study into menopause and pilates (level 3 and level 4 mat pilates plus level 3 reformer).  I learnt how simple lifestyle changes and modifying workouts can have a huge effect on how you feel.  I was always fit and healthy, but what works in your 20s will just not work in your 40s!

I want to share this knowledge and help other women feel and move better.  Knowing that small tweaks in our lifestyle can have a big impact on menopause symptoms.

I offer a diverse range of products and programs.  From mini workshops, online memberships and personal gym programming to wellness retreats.  You can also experience live pilates classes at my new studio – Reform by Ann Gibson, nestled in the heart of Bahrain.

Welcome to my site!

I’ve always  had a keen interest in exercise, since I was a teenager.  I always wanted to be strong and fit rather than skinny and have never been shy of lifting weights. Not knowing what I wanted to do as a job I studied Business studies and marketing and I got a pretty good office job.

By 29, I decided to follow my passion of health full time and move away from the security of a set salary.  To me, nothing is as important as feeling energized, moving well and being the best version of yourself that you can.

In my forties I noticed more injuries would happen and these would take longer to recover.  Random aches and pains would happen, sleep was hit and miss, energy levels low and generally feeling rubbish.

When I couldn’t even bend over to put trainers on I decided enough was enough!  Why was I feeling like a 90 year old in my forties?  This is still young and having been fit all my life, was not something I was just going to live with.  Neither should any woman.

So a brilliant physio working on putting years of muscle balances correct, research into how hormones and foods can play a role at this age and seeing how I could improve my sleep became a focus for me.

Then I decided to share my learning with women like me – those in their 40s and 50s, pre and post menopause, struggling to feel energized, sleep deprived, maybe noticing it’s harder to shift the belly fat and generally wanting to feel better about themselves.  

I can add years of knowledge and experience, a passion for health and fitness I have fueled and researched over the years and a high level of class design that comes from a very varied and high level background in training other instructors.  

I have created a different range of programs to make something available for everyone – whatever their preference (online or live or pre recorded), their interest (classes, small groups, programs, seminars, fat loss, menopause, healthy eating) for a range of different budgets.
